Save often, and in several different slots. This way, if you use an item before you are supposed to, you can go back to a saved game before you used the item and restart there.
Remember to equip new weapons, shields, spells, and special moves right away, so that your skill in them improves quickly.
Sometimes it is difficult to see things that may be usable on a screen. Hold the Left Shift down and use the Right Shift to cycle through things you can use on the screen.
To run, double-click on the area to which you want to go. To walk, simply left-click. To bring up the Pie menu, right-click.
After defeating a Boss, your characters will be healed back to full magic and health points, as they go up in level.
David, the leader of the quest, is the second-best warrior and the third-best mage. He's a good all-around character.
Sekune is the best ranged-weapon character, and is very good with a bow.
Vivienne is a good warrior and an adequate mage. Her best weapon is the bastard sword. Equip her with it as soon as you get it.
Jug is a great fighter, but lacks skill in magic and ranged weapons. He's tough, though, and the war hammer is his best weapon.
Cagen is an excellent unarmed fighter, and a good mage.
Chiaro is the best magic-user.
After opening the gate to Ochias' Tower, return occasionally to grab some quick money from the creatures just inside.
Choose "Auto-change Weapons" in the Options screen… then if Sekune runs out of arrows, she will automatically change to the catapult (slingshot) rather than charging in with her fists and getting hurt.
Try to stay on the high ground whenever possible. Also, remember that you can hide behind some screen objects like rocks, trees, etc.
If you cannot use the Valve Spinner to release the water after defeating the Acid Orb Boss, you probably tried to use it before encountering the Acid Orb Boss. This item MUST be used AFTER defeating the Acid Orb Boss, or the water release will not work.
