Minimum System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Driver are:
  • Mac G3 or G4 computer
  • System 8.6 or newer
  • 64MB RAM
  • 128MB Virtual Memory
  • CD-ROM drive
  • 4MB or better Rage Pro video card
This game will work on any iMac RevB or higher and any iBook, provided that it meets the RAM requirements.

Installation

To install this game on your system:
  1. Close all open windows on your screen, then
  2. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
  3. Double-click on the Driver icon to open the CD-ROM window, and then
  4. Double-click on the Installer icon to install the game.
  5. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Uninstallation

To remove the game from your system, double click on your hard drive, then drag the Driver folder to the Trash.

Troubleshooting

There are no known problems with Driver. If you are having any other problems, try the following solutions:
  1. Check to make sure that your system meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements for Driver. If your system meets these requirements, but does not exceed them, video or sound may be hesitant.
  2. Make sure that all other programs, including screen savers and virus scanning software, are turned off.
  3. Make sure virtual memory is turned on, and set to 128MB.
  4. Go into the game's Options menu and turn some of the details or sounds options off or down. You may also want to turn the game's maximum attempted frame rate down as well.
  5. Some software titles may have extension conflicts with Driver. Turn off all extensions that you are not using for the game.
